"Beary" Cute Polar Bear Cookies

"Beary" Cute Polar Bear Cookies

Polar bears all dressed up in their bowties by Ardy of @ardycakes! These spiffy fellows would be great for animal-lovers or formal events.

These adorable polar bear cookies were the perfect wedding favor for an Alaska bride. They were dressed for the occasion and are super easy to make!

What you'll need:

-Your favorite sugar cookie recipe (CookieCutterKingdom recipe here)
-Rolling pin
-CookieCutterKingdom Cute Polar Bear Cookie Cutter
-Piping bag
-Tips #5 and #3
-Royal icing (CookieCutterKingdom recipe here) - white, a teeny bit of black
-Fondant - dyed light pink
-Bow mold

Directions:

Using the Cute Bear Cookie Cutter, cut out your shapes and freeze on the tray for about an hour. This will ensure they keep their shape nicely.

After baking your bears, flood the entire body of each one with white royal icing. I like to use a  tip #5 to outline and then fill all at the same time. Allow them to dry for at least 15 minutes.

This is the perfect time to make your pink bow ties! I found this mold on Etsy years ago. Just press the fondant in and voila!

Next, pipe on the ears and leg shapes with tip #3 - very minimal!

Then pull out your trusty bag of black royal icing (I always keep some on hand) and pipe the eye and nose. Put a dab of royal icing on the back of your bow ties to attach. Now they’re dressed!

The end result is “beary” cute. I’m already planning on making brown bears and black bears for our zoo fundraiser!

Enjoy!
